For over 20 years Mary Kay has helped individuals and groups successfully negotiate life's inevitable challenges and changes. Her compassionate and engaging style assists people to accept and embrace life's ups and downs, with humor and insight. Her interests include transformational grief-work, creating wellness, facilitating deep inner change in both individuals and systems, assisting people to place their current life experience in a deeper and broader context and supporting people to live their daily lives from a place of personal and spiritual integrity, meaning and purpose. Of particular interest to Mary Kay is assisting people to stay inspired, healthy, creative and balanced in their personal and professional lives. By encouraging deep discussions that explore meaning and purpose, Mary Kay helps individuals build their personal and professional lives around that which is most important to them.

Mary Kay graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies and from James Madison University with an EdS and an MA in counseling psychology. She has also had extensive graduate work in accounting and business. She has worked in both the business and human services fields in a variety of capacities. Mary Kay believes our daily lives are the training ground for developing meaning and purpose, as they offer many opportunities for change and growth. She walks her talk, practicing what she preaches on a daily basis in her own personal relationships. As a life coach, psychotherapist, Yoga and movement instructor, and former massage therapist, Mary Kay studies, lives and teaches a variety of transformational technologies including Yoga, Journaling/Writing, Dance, Talking/Deep Discussions, Breathwork, Exercise, Bodywork and Energy Work. She also has extensive experience in offering change and wellness seminars in corporate and community environments. She offers workshops on many topics including stress management, personal development, complementary therapies, dealing with difficult people, weight management, moving through grief and coping creatively with change.

Mary Kay believes we each contain within us the power to transform our lives and that this very process of growth and change is Sacred work. In her group and individual work, Mary Kay creates an environment of acceptance that encourages deep exploration. She offers Mindful Attention and Nonjudgmental Listening, which creates a sacred and safe space to heal and grow, Compassionate Facilitation and Guidance, providing gentle feedback and intuitive insight, and an Accepting and Loving Heart, assisting individuals to awaken these same gifts within themselves. Mary Kay sees the power of Presence and Relationship as central to healing, growing and life success. She believes we create a life of meaning and purpose as we grow in relationship with ourselves, with others and with our Spiritual Ideal or Higher Power.

In addition to workshops and seminars, Mary Kay is available for individual life coaching sessions. Mary Kay lives with her husband, Gary, and beloved animals in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
